Futures Trading Charts
Futures trading may prove to be very profitable for the traders who are involved in the trades. However, not all traders may be able to get the most out of it. This is when the futures trading charts come in handy. If a trader wants to get the maximum, if not optimum, benefits out of the trade, then referring to these charts is something that cannot be avoided.
The futures trading charts enable traders to check out the movement in prices so that the traders will be able to determine where they may set the market entry points, profit targets and stop-loss orders. This is in fact very useful to do prior to taking part in the trade market. There are also various formations that traders will be able to find in the charts and these formations will usually correspond to certain trade patterns.
Below are four formations that traders may find in the charts:
a. 1-2-3 bottoming formation: This is the formation that will cause the market move to be higher when it is complete.
b. 1-2-3 topping formation: On the contrary to the first formation, this will cause the market move to be lower when it is complete.
c. Sideways breakout: This is a price consolidation at which the trade market will move quite tightly and will explode in the particular direction.
Continuation breakouts: A trending market with a small pullback prior to maintaining the trend.
d. Setups for gaps: If empty then it means that the market is trending strongly in a certain direction. If a trader can manage to enter the market, no matter before or just after the gap, big profits will be obtained by the trader.
Those are the basic formations that the traders should keep in mind in terms of futures trading charts.
